For the last week or so a bunch of us from van Wyhe's Custom Engraving have been follow the activities of the Martin Mars "Hawaii" Flying Tanker.  Only two of these planes exist today, and it was a thrill to watch.  A flying tanker used for fighting fires, it has the ability to drop 72oo gallons of water on a forest fire.  At times the Martin Mars was making a drop every twenty minutes.  The company that owns the plane is from BC Canada and did a great job.  The crew was very friendly and their services much appreciated.  The crew from van Wyhe's Custom Engraving was on the water filming the Martin Mars in action.  With three video cameras running they captured many hours of the Flying Tanker doing its job.  For a glimpse of the Martin Mars in action visit our website at www.engravingdragon.com.  There are two pages of photos and two videos as well as a link to the History of the Martin Mars Flying Tankers.  We have customers in the avaition industry, but felt this would be of interest to others as well.  Enjoy!
