Entry for August 29, 2006

Let me start by sharing a little bit about myself. I was conceived in 1972 by a very creative and shy individual. I only appeared in drawings etc. until 1987, when I was only 14, and met R. W. van Wyhe, the founder of van Wyhe's Custom Engraving, and was asked to be the company logo. I agreed, and for almost 20 years have silently represented the company. But now at age 34 I shall speak to the world for the first time.
After all these years, where does a dragon start? I hear people talk about money, so I'll give you my view on money...it is better to have it and not to need it, than to need it and not have it. Oh! the weather, that's something people talk about. Well here in Lake Shasta the weather is great, sunshine, blue sky, and white puffy clouds. This time of year it can get hot, but when you live at a lake you just go for a swim. Lake Shasta is the largest lake in California, so it is easy for a dragon to go for a swim and not be noticed. Just have to watch out for the boaters. Speaking of the weather, you have to check out the "Weather Rope" sold by van Wyhe's Custom Engraving, they make great gifts, and are only $19.95, plus you can order on-line. I do have to put a plug in every once in a while, after all they do feed me. Also they kind of named the website for me, www.engravingdragon.com. By the way, those things on top of my head, they're my ears, not horns as some might believe. I'm just a friendly dragon that engraves for a living. I'm in college now to learn some new things, until now I was home schooled so that I wouldn't scare the kids. But at college nobody notices me, matter of fact I'm not the strangest looking one by far. And speaking of college, good thing I have a job because it is expensive to go to college nowadays. Well for now it's back to work, hope to hear from you soon. Danny
